Established in 2014, the Politics of Race and Ethnicity (PRE) program serves as the principal space within the Institute of Politics to explore the intersection of race, ethnicity, and politics. PRE is a welcoming space where members can learn from their peers' experiences and engage with others in areas of like-minded interest. Every week, PRE holds discussions with local leaders, politicians, academics, and organizers. These conversations highlight a myriad of topics, such as minority political engagement and representation, moral versus career aspirations, immigration reform, health policy, criminal justice and reform, and the makeup of current political systems.
